When it comes to their health, men and women are not the same. Not only do certain diseases affect women only or disproportionately, but many affect them differently. Yet throughout history, women were left out of research studies and then given medications and dosages designed for men. Or their symptoms were overlooked entirely. The results were often lethal.

So, we created an advocacy campaign to breed a new understanding of Canada’s oldest women’s hospital. A century after it began, Women’s College was evolving from a hospital for moms and babies, to the country’s leading centre for treating women throughout their lifetimes. The campaign raised millions of dollars for a state-of-the-art building designed for women, by women.
